English to Spanish Translator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate volunteer English to Spanish Translator to assist our team in translating existing creative content into Spanish. The Volunteer Translator will play a vital role in ensuring that our content reaches and resonates with Spanish-speaking audiences, helping to bridge language barriers and expand our impact. This volunteer opportunity offers a rewarding experience for individuals who are fluent in both English and Spanish and who have a desire to contribute their language skills to a meaningful cause.

Qualifications:

Fluency in both English and Spanish, with native or near-native proficiency in Spanish.
Strong writing and communication skills in both languages, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Cultural sensitivity and awareness of linguistic nuances and differences between English and Spanish-speaking audiences.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with a proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
Prior experience in translation, language services, or related fields is preferred but not required.
Commitment to the mission and values of our organization, with a desire to make a positive impact through language and communication.

Responsibilities:

Translate a variety of creative content from English to Spanish, including marketing materials, website content, social media posts, blog articles, video scripts, and promotional materials.

Maintain accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness in all translated content, capturing the style, tone, and intent of the original material.
Collaborate with content creators and project coordinators to understand project requirements, deadlines, and objectives.
Proofread and edit translated content to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Maintain organized records of translated materials and contribute to building terminology databases for future reference and consistency.
Provide feedback and suggestions for improving translation processes, workflow optimization, and quality assurance initiatives within the translation team.
